The Environmentally Friendly Concept for the Disposal of Mercurial Waste
ALBA-Service owns an approved facility for the treatment of mercurial gas discharge lamps such as neon lamps, mercurial vapor lamps, high pressure sodium vapor lamps, low pressure lamps, and similar types of lighting. A temporary storage facility and a special collection and transport system complete the facility. The capacity of this facility lies by over 20 million lamps per year.
Our specialist operation ensures environmentally friendly separation of individual components. Glass, metal, and mercury are separated in specialized (thermal) separation processes and can, for the most part, be recycled and reused.
